I watched the 2010 Olympics and enjoyed it; yet, I couldn't help but reach for an old VHS tape of the 1992 Olympics to watch (several times over) that year's ice dancing gold medal champions' performance. To this day, no one has ever come close to Klimova and Ponomarenko's artistry, beauty, and genius...unequaled.

No one has ever skated with the beauty, emotion, and grace which the two of you offered on the ice. I miss watching you perform as amateurs as well as professionals. I wish you and your sons the brightest of futures.

So happy to find your website! Tonight as I watch the free dance from the Vancouver games, I will remember the magic you displayed in Albertville and how nothing has come close ever since. Every now and again, I have to go to YouTube and watch your performance from 1992 because it is just so magically stirring and beautiful. It was simply superb. It is very nice to see that you are both well and are teaching. I wish you both love, happiness and success. I miss seeing Klimova and Ponomarenko on the ice!!!! All the best to you both and your boys :-)

I agree that your Bach program stands the test of time. I still watch it. Tonight I am rooting for Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir because they are exquisite together. They come closest to achieving what you have accomplished in originality, beauty, musicality and partnering. And they are young so they also have a chance of matching your longevity.
Keep up the good work. You have been such an inspiration.

Your performance in the '92 Olympics, to me, remains the most beautiful ice dancing routine ever! And how wonderful to know your partenship on the ice and off has continued for over 20 years...both an accomplishment in your profession! As I watch the ice dancing tonight my thoughts go back to both of you...no one compares!

While watching the Vancouver Olympics, I recalled your incredible past performance. I always thought it was the most beautiful ice dancing interpretation I'd ever seen.

I was touched full of emotions two times from Russian people. First time 1992 when I say YOU both on television with the BACH skateversion. Breathless. Another moment was 2005 by VITAS and his music. You touched my heart deeply :-)
